There is a $99 activation fee per customer when starting service.
"Drop" refers to the connection from the fiber network to your home. Homeowners signing up now will receive a credit toward their drop installation cost. See the details here.
The physical connection cabling will likely follow the same route to your house as your existing utilities. The cable will be brought to the side of your house near to your current utility connections.
The technicians will discuss with you the best location for your wireless Internet router. In most cases this will be on the first floor of your home. For telephone service subscribers, the location for the Telo phone adapter can also be discussed.
Additional wiring beyond that of Standard Installation will incur an additional charge.
Services can be canceled at any time without penalty (see point 6 at wiredwest.net/about/terms-and-conditions/ for exact policy language). Here cancellation of services means maintaining neither Broadband Internet nor Digital Phone Service. There is no services suspension option.
If you cancel your Digital Phone Service, you will lose your phone number unless you have it ported to another carrier before cancellation. But before you cancel consider that the phone number and Telo phone adapter can be taken with you and used elsewhere in the U.S. If you do relocate your Telo, be sure to update your location with Ooma customer support to maintain 911 services.
If services are reinstated within twelve months following cancellation, the activation fee is waived. After twelve months a $99 activation fee will be charged upon reinstatement of services.
